Always asking for password

M

Mick

I seem to being asked for my password each time I try to publish even with
the remember box ticked, I end up entering it 5-6 times before it will let
me upload any files, my ISP can not find any reason there end for it.
After a number of times I get a message saying that I do not have permission
to do this.

Yes, I can do it myself, I have removed them and my pages, and reinstalled
them both.

I had the same problem and in the fp.client ng I was advised:
Passwords used by FP are "stored" using IE. In IE Tools |Internet Options
| Security, click on "Trusted" and on "Custom Level" and make sure the
selection at the bottom is set to: 'Automatic logon with current username
and
password' and click OK.
Click on "Sites' and add your site URL in the 'Add this Web Site to the
Zone'
and OK, OK. - note you may have to unselect the option: Require server
verification (https)... to add your site.
