Always highlight the whole box for Today's Date on Calendar Monthly View

I need to know how to have the current date highlighted on
the monthly calendar view. Similar to the days that show
in gray. Even if I click on another day I want the current
date stand out.

you can't highlight the entire box, but the date should be highlighted.
