Hi
Please help me!!
I have a user who is receiving the above message when trying to merge a
document into Microsoft Word from another application.
CAUSE:
I've read up on this online and it seems there is a word basic macro
automatically written in normal.dot when DDE is used. It should be
automatically removed after use, but if the data exchange is
interrupted it can be left there. This means that when a DDE link is
activated again, the temporary macro can't be written as it has the
same name as one already there....
SOLUTION:
The only solution/advice i can find to this is to delete /rename
normal.dot, open Word, goto Tools, Macros and delete TMPDDE.
PROBLEM:
My problem is that TMPDDE does not appear in my macro list in the
macros or the organizer. The only way i can get it to display is to
create a DDE link - but of course doing this, i can only view TmpDDE
through debug. This means if i try to delete it, i get the message
'This will reset your current process'. If i click ok, the macro is not
deleted but is then invisible again!!
