Ambiguous name detected when trying to print

When exploring my file system in vista, if on viewing the preview pane i
decide to print a document i always get an error message :

Ambiguous name detected: tmpdde

printing fails, so i have to open the document and then print it.

Any ideas would be appreciated

thanks for the help.

However i donot use HOTDOCS, so where did this association appear from.

i have some 3000 documents that have all started having this problem, i can
open them fine no problem but only one at a time, i might need to open up to
ten at a time. to follow the solution would be very long winded.
