American and English Dates

The dates in my database shows up American ie. 12/17/03
I need then the English way ie 17/12/0
How do I solve this? Maybe it is something to do with my computer settings

Alicia,

Your computer settings (Settings > Control Panel >
International) will do the trick, but for your computer
only... if you take the database to another machine, they
will show as whatever that machines default settings are.
To overcome this problem you can use the Format in the
properties of table and query fields, and form and report
controls, which override the default Windows settings. The
only place where this is not applicable in Access and you
have to be very careful with date formats is VB code,
where the only recognized format is US.
