Ampersand sign

I tried to put this sign (&) in my custom header. It's there when I type it
but not when I view or print the page. What do I need to do?

Hi,

If you enter a double ampersand && one will be printed.

tricky! but thanks sooo much. I'll use it next time - for that report I
just used the first row instead of header but now I have the secret.
