Hello. Three people so far today have reported to me that they are having
problems with an error appearing that says ' an error has occurred and the
feature is no longer availible, Would you like to repair this feature now?'
They can either click 'yes' or 'no'
If they click yes an MS office installer SR-1 windows opens up, Runs through
the installer and then goes away.
The error will appear when the users are trying to do pretty much anything
in outlook, Some get it when as soon as they log onto outlook, some are
getting it after using it for a few mins.
The issue seems to partly go away when the preview pane is unselected but it
is still apparent.
I have uninstalled MS Office and then reinstalled via add remove programmes
on the workstation admin account and because XP is configured to be a network
deployed application using group policy objects
We operate and tcp/ip office network with over 30 machines and only these
are affected. The users have reaming profile but I have not got them to log
on at a different work station as the issue needs to be resolved at their
permanent desk.
