Hi,

I have a machine that gives the error below when trying to show the Gant
charts (happens for all 3) after calculate PERT. has anyone seen this before?

Project 2k3 running on windows XP. Have tested on another machine with the
same build and Project is fine, seems to be a machine specific fault but
project has been fully re-installed and the error persists.

The file C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\PERTANL.DLL may be
corrupted on that one machine. This is the default location, your mileage
may vary.

You can try Tools/COM Add-ins... Remove the PERT Analysis and then add it
back in (once you know the location). If that does not work, the file may be
copied from a know good machine. You can avoid a reboot if Project is closed
during the write operation.

To directly answer your question, I have not seen this before. That said, I
did have a similar problem with "Analyze Timescaled Data in Excel," the
remove and add process fixed it for me without the need to copy the file.

I have tried what you sugested but unfortunatly it made no difference, The
DLL was in the default location but removing and re-adding did nothing and
neither did copying the file from my machine. any other ideas?

Thanks for your sugestions none the less.

I have found the problem, It appears that the global.mpt was causing this
error, Didn't even think of that before.

Replaced the global.mpt on the broken machine with the working one from my
machine.
