an OLE Action

I have built a workbook that imports an FTP text file into
an Access dB Table, I am using the timer action to
automate to do this but every now again I get this message
box up "Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application
to complete an OLE Action"
can someone help me understand why this happening?.
