I tried to send an email to what turned out to be a bad email address. The
message is stuck in Outbox. If I click it I get a message stating Outlook has
already started sending. How can I delete it?

Start Outlook and set it for Offline mode (File|Work Offline: enable).

Close Outlook and restart it in "safe" mode ("Outlook.exe /safe"). This
ensures no plug-ins get loaded when Outlook is loaded. Restarting Outlook
in offline mode prevents it from trying to send the stuck item.

Delete the stuck item in the Outbox folder.

Return Outlook to online mode (File|Work Offline: disable).

Close and restart Outlook
