An unexpected error ocurred.

Hello, this is a tough one. I have been using Outlook 2003 on a laptop
running XP-Pro with 1GB of memory for awhile and today I received this error
(An unexpected error ocurred) when trying to send email. Outlook Express
works OK. The error pops up whether MS Word is used and my test editor or not.

I tried to repair Outlook by choosing this option from the Office Pro 2003
Installation disk with no success. Any assistance in solving this problem
will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, it's me again. I forgot to mention that a test of email account
functions is completely successful, sending and receiving.

One more time, I just did a reinstall of Office 2003 and still have the send
problem with the "An unexpected error occurred". Does anyone think that a
full uninstall of Office and reinstall will solve my problem??? Testing the
email account still test OK and Outlook Express still functions OK also.

Problem solved folks, I had been using a distribution list as my email
adressee and discovered today that this address was corrupted. I deleted the
group and created another distribution list with the same members as before
and sent messages with no problems. Next time I'll try to remember to test
more than one address prior to jumping to conclusions

This describs my experience exactly. I cannot send to a distribution list
without this error. I have deleted and recreated the list twice. It works
after i create a new list and even when i use it again. Then the error
returns. What could becorrupting the list? None of the individual email
addresses in the list seem to have a problem.
