An unexpected problem occurred while opening the file.

This error occurs when trying to publish changes I made to the plan to Server.
Can someone give me some guidance for fixing this?

Steps I took were:

Collaborate> Publish> New and Change Assignments

I got a dialog box where I unchecked the option to notify of changes via
email and said yes to save the plan

It was then that I got this message. When I clicked on OK, it went back to
status of "ready" but I don't see that it actually saved the plan.

Renee:

I think we need to take this error at face value. You might want to save the
plan as an XML file. Delete the original from the server, and then import
the XML version. After performing these steps, follow the instructions in
the following FAQ to remove any file bloat caused by the XML conversion.

Thanks Gary,

The Project Manager for that project is out of town until Friday. I'll work
with her then and post an update.
