I went to Tools, and selected Add-Ons. Then I checked the Analysis tool.
When I pressed OK, nothing happened. Where is it? On the install CD?

What did you expect to happen? By checking the box for the Analysis
Toolpak add-in, you enabled additional functions in Excel that you can
access by clicking on Tools | Data Analysis.

I have no Data Analysis under Tools. That's what I was trying to activate.

When you clicked on the Analysis Tool, did you select Run on My Computer
from the sub-menu?

There is no sub-menu for it in Excel. Are you thinking of Run on the Start
menu? Yes, I started Excel from there. Data Analysis is not shown in the
Data menu. I think that's where it belongs. In any case, I don't see it
under Tools or elsewhere.

This is the wrong newsgroup in which to ask Excel-specific questions.

I'm crossposting this to microsoft.public.excel.misc which is a much
more appropriate newsgroup for this.

The Analysis Pack doesn't often "load" its more like its activated. Since you
checked it and hit 'ok', have you tried using any of the formulas from the
ToolPak? Common ones are the ISEVEN and ISODD functions.

Thanks. I didn't know it existed.

It's been a long time since I used Excel, but I thought I recalled a rather
extensive set of programs, regression, stat tests, histograms (with cells),
etc. It sounds like Dana Analysis isn't it.
