Analysis Server Cube Creation Failing.

Sam

I have the same problem as a couple of other people.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/co...n-us&mid=14ea6a72-17ce-41c2-b4f5-1b5a117afe5a

I started with the Project Server 2007 blog:

http://blogs.msdn.com/project/

I did some searching and found a few other tips about how to create an empty
msmdrep.mdb. But the last access time never changed, so I added all the users
and groups to the folder to make sure everyone had permission to access that
file and still, the last access time never changed. The ini file did get
encrypted.

I'm still up in the air about how to resolve this issue. I would appreciate
any possible help.

Thanks.

I finally worked around this problem.

But now I've run into another

[12/26/2006 7:47 PM] Failed to build the OLAP cubes. Error: Analysis
Services session failed with the following error: The Microsoft Jet database
engine cannot find the input table or query 'OlapObjects'. Make sure it
exists and that its name is spelled correctly.

I didn't migrate from Sql Server 2000, so I created a blank msmdrep.mdb.

Does anyone have any options I can try?

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam, I tried to copy the msmdrep.mdb file from C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Analysis Services\Bin, of a server where Analisys Services 2000 was
installed, to the path C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL.2\OLAP\DSO9 and it work fine.

good luck
