Analysis Services

Hello Newsgroup.

We use MSP Server 03 and Professional. I also used the EditSite tool to
create a new instance on the server. I now have projectserver1 and
projectserver2 with separate dbs.

When I created the new projectserver2 site I entered the same Analysis
Services information as on projectserver1. But this didn't work. In the
Analysis Manager I saw that the db can only connect (Data Source) to one of
the servers.

What can I do to use the Analysis Servers on the projectserver2 as well?
Is there any documentation about it? I couldn't find it.
Do I need to create a separate Analysis Services db (including OLAPcube)?
But I thought there could only be one repository!?

Sylvia:

You use the same connection information, however you want to build a cube
with a different name, otherwise you'll overwrite data from the first
instance. You also need to provide a better description of "but this didn't
work" such as the error messages you get on the console as well as the
application event log. Could it be that you didn't grant your OLAPAdmin
account access to the new database?
