Hi everyone,
I'm working on a report in Access that is based on a table
and it has text field (Account Number that can be all
numeric or can have characters). When users preview this
report and they transfer it to Excel by clicking
Tools/Analyze with Excel, this account number field is
transfered to excel as number if it doesn't contain any
characters and as text if the account number contains
characters. Those account numbers that are longer than 16
digits are being truncated because excel sees them as
numbers not as strings. Is there any way I can set up
Access to transfer the data types as they are in the
original table (or Excel to accept data in the original
data format)?
