Analyze timescaled data to excel

I have Project 2002. I am trying to export all the project data, to Excel.
The Analyze timescaled data to excel, button does not appear to do anything,
Any ideas. I'm running from a thin client

This might be a silly question but do you have MS Excel installed on
your computer?
