I am having the same trouble referenced in a couple of other posts - when i
open documents in Word (especially large docs), it takes an incredibly long
time (up to 5 minutes) and the message "Word is finishing analyzing your
document" appears in the lower left corner. One other problem that may or
may not be related is that the new document sometimes opens at the bottom of
the stack of open documents (in other words, it's below several other open
word documents). It's particularly problematic with large files.
Oddly, the problem occurs only for me when I use the desktop. When the
adminstrator logs in and opens Word and the same document (from the same
desktop) he doesn't get the problem. The Word program itself also takes much
longer to open when accessed through my user account.
I do have Adobe Acrobat installed, but both the administrator account and my
user account have access to this and it doesn't affect it when he logs on.
This did not use to happen with this desktop - it's a new machine (~2 months
old) - although i can't recall if this started
