And the wait for a Vista patch continues...

I cannot believe it is now August, eight months after Vista's official
release and, still, Microsoft has yet to provide a patch to fix the
compatability problems between Vista and Microsoft Frontpage (namely the fact
that when adding a hyperlink using interface controls, Frontpage crashes and
restarts).

Why should any of us even consider migrating to Expression Web, when
Microsoft so obviously doesn't care about Frontpage users? Expression web
does not offer any clear migration strategy for existing Frontpage websites,
and Microsoft clearly isn't concerned about providing a patch to support
product lines they have closed.

I have had it. I am throwing out purchased copy of Expression web (and, no
I won't send it to you) and migrating my Frontpage site to a competitor's
app. Oh, how I wish I could do the same with all of my microsoft products,
starting with Vista and Office 2007, what a waste of money, not too mention
time and frustration.

I just recently got a new laptop with Vista and had to install FrontPage for
work purposes. I'm experiencing the same problem and am very frustrated. Is
there any way to insert a hyperlink without FrontPage crashing and restarting
EVERY time?

Nicole,

If you haven't already discovered the solution, a series of patches to Vista
(released on Oct 10) and the new Service Pack for Office 2003 (SP3) have
resolved the hyperlink problem on my computer. Hooray! I hope yours is (or
will be) working also.
