...And where do the submissions go?!?!?

Steel Bananana

I don't have the access with my server to e-mail form results to myself. I
also can't seem to open the file that SHOULD open with excel (Might be
because I have office xp professional, with fp 2002...)
So I set the forms to send it to the pre-created form htm. Nuthin' happens!
I've sumitted my e-mail in the little box about 20 times. Nuthin'.
I tried looking in "my web" as well as opening my live site and checking
there through hp.
Should I be looking somewhere else?
The original form.htm was created for another form a few revisions ago,
which I have since deleted and replaced with this simpler version. Could
that contribute to my problem? And if so...what do I do about it?

It's hard to run a mailing list if people can't join it!!!

Thanks
Kim

Have you asked your host to configure the forms to email transport for your
web in the server extensions?

I just checked my "webfiles" directly through my server, and my _private
folder is showing 0 files and 0 folders. Does that mean anything?

The web page is a supplement to ebay sales. It's barely making enough to pay
off the e-bay fees and it's own fees (three to four purchases a month).
Once it starts really making money, I will invest in the server upgrade to a
"business site" which will also allow me to link to access databases.
However, that upgrade takes me from $5.99 a month for the hosting to $29.99 a
month for the hosting. I'm finally, after three months, making enough off of
the business to pay me back for my investments and maintain itself, and I
don't want to start dumping personal money in again yet...

The site does not appear to have FrontPage extensions installed. If this is
the case, the forms will not work.

How do I know if the extensions are installed? My server shows that I have
activated the frontpage extensions. How would I go about fixing something
like that?

Right click the input box for the form. Select Form *field* properties. Rename the form field name
T1 to: email and click OK.

Then right click again and select Form Properties, click options, click the Saved Fields tab and
then delete B1 because B1 is a button name and has no value to be saved.

Like this.
http://www.steelbanana.com/_vti_inf.htm

If clicking that link opens a html page they're installed. If it returns a "404 page not found"
they are not installed.
It returns a 404, so contact your host.

Set the form to send in the default format, text, not HTML
