Animated BitMaps

I use to know this one. How do I insert a BMP that I know has animation into
a email. I have tried saving the BMP to my desktop then inserting it as
normal. but the animation is gone??

BMPs don't animate; gif files do. To extract gif files from an e-mail and
maintain the animation see;
