Animated gifs

Does the new Entourage 2004 enable us to use animated gifs in our email? I
would endure all the hassles of upgrading if it did.

I'm using Entourage X now with OS 10.3 and can usually see animation when
receiving email, but can't get the animation to work when creating or
forwarding email.

Am I doing something wrong?
Any help would be appreciated.

Entourage will not animate embedded gifs in simple HTML (or as attachments
to plain text messages). It will, however, animate gifs in complex HTML
messages as the rendering there is done by the IE engine.
