animation and transition

PPT 3:
i have several animations on one slide. when the last animation is finished,
the slide moves to next slide so fast the animation cannot be studied. i
have it set to automatically transition 6 seconds between slides. how can i
get the slide to sit a few seconds more after the last animation is finished?
changing the seconds between slides does not help. thx in advance!

I assume you mean PPT 2003, not PPT 3. Try putting another animation at
the end of your sequence. This can be set to After Previous with a delay
time if you like. This can also be an object that is totally off screen
so it won't actually change what is seen on the screen.
