Animation in Microsoft Word 2002, can it be done?

[Animation in MS Word 2002]

My office has a webpage, that is html. Its in MS Word 2002. I would like to
add animation to my portion of the webpage. I tried to add sound, but its not
working. So I would like to add animation like you can in PP. Can that be
done?

You can insert Animated GIF files and they will 'work' when the page is saved as HTML and viewed as a browser. The custom
animations of Powerpoint are a feature that ended up only in that app when MS's proposed standard of HTML+Time wasn't adopted by

The Sound and scrolling text features in Word were disabled by Microsoft with the Windows XP Service Pack 2 update as a security
measure.
