Animation in Ppt 2007

Hi

I love Office 2007. However, in PowerPoint, I cannot believe that the Slide
Design - Animation Schemes features have gone. It seems the only way to now
apply animation is using the Custom Animation task pane. This is fine if
doing a tricky bit of animation, but frustrating when only a simple quick
animation is needed. Surely, the animations should be on the Animation tab of
the ribbon, alongside the Transitions.

Does anybody know why they have got rid of the Custom Animation task pane
and designed animation to work this way?

Thanks

I believe -- don't know for sure -- that the animation schemes were removed
because not many people (relatively speaking) used them, and because they
were confusing to many users who did and who wanted to make adjustements to
the animation on individual slides. It may also have something to do with
the new ability to create our own placeholders on slide masters and layouts.

You can add animation to the placeholders on the slide masters to get the
same effect. You'd have to add a transition to all the slides, too, to mimic
all the animation schemes did.
