Animation movement function not available in current version?

I am looking for someone to confirm what I suspect! I recently installed MS Office 2008 on my new MB Pro and am now frustrated that I can not make animation movements like I was able to do in earlier PC versions of PP. I suspect that this function has been withheld from said current version. It is possible, but unlikely, that what I am trying to do is possible just accomplished differently with my current OS and version of PP. Can anyone shed light on this subject?

Hi,

Animation path editing is not supported in Mac PowerPoint.

All of the built-in motion paths are there in the custom animation
dialog box, but you can't change them.

On the Mac, a free product called OpenOffice version 3 by Sun
Microsystems supposedly can edit the motion paths. I've tried it, but
that only works less than half the time.

If I want to edit the motion paths, I use Office 2003 or 2007 on
Windows. Mac will play the paths correctly even though it can't edit them.
