Animation Problems

I have PowerPoint 2004 and have embedded QuickTime movies
and swf files. They play fine in PowerPoint X. In 2004,
they are slow and choppy but only in the slide show mode.
I called Microsoft who told me I had to reduce resolution
of the monitor to 480x760 which did not help. Any ideas?

Hi Bill,

There are several other messages here that have noted this problem. A
microsoft employee asked for example files a month or so ago.

I presume that Microsoft is working on a fix for the problem and hope
they have an update soon.

I'm having similar issues with gif movies assembled by ImageReady. In
Powerpoint X they they play fine in both edit mode and slideshow mode.
However in Powerpoint 2004, they play fine in edit mode but are very slow
and jerky in slideshow mode. I thought it may have been a memory issue
with my powerbook but I have the same problem on my G5 which has 3 GB
RAM.
