Animation with image

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows how I can create an animation effect of a
waving flag. If I have an image in PowerPoint 2003, is there a way I can do
this or will I need to link to an animated gif file? I appreciate any insight
on this.

It would be better if you inserted the animated gif file. that way if you send the presentation to others the link will not be broken.

I don't believe you can make a flag wave in powerpoint just by using
powerpoints animation capabilities.

Interesting challenge though!
