Animations and text resolution

I used to do all my presentations by creating the "slides"
in Corel Draw and printing them to transparencies. Now I
would like to convert these to PowerPoint presentations by
copying various images from Corel Draw (v. 11) into
PowerPoint as figures. It works -- except for one
potentially deal-breaking glitch. Suppose I have three
different diagrams on one slide, and wnat to I assign them
each a "custom animation" so that I can click and make them
"appear" or "dissolve in" one-by-one. Before assigning
any animations to objects, the Corel Draw graphics appear
nice and sharp in my presentation view. However, after
assigning even one "custom animation" to an object within a
slide, suddenly all of the *text* within the Corel Draw
graphics apprears fuzzy and jagged and downright crappy in
the presentation view. If I take away all the animations
from that slide, then I'm back to nice sharp images again.
Any ideas?
