Animations disappear after the last one finishes

Hello everyone,

I have a problem I encountered in previous versions of powerpoint (2003),
and that I now have in powerpoint 2007.

I usually put animations on my slides: appearing cliparts, shapes, making
them disappear, etc.

It often happens that all the animations I have set up in a slide disappear
after the last animation of the slide finishes, e.g cliparts that previously
appeared disappear, or a shape that was made bigger returns to its previous
size.

This is, of course, extremely annoying...

I use a french version of powerpoint 2007 but will try to give the correct
english words:

right click on an animation, "effect":
All animations have the "do not fade" option in the "effect" tab
Under the "timing" tab: no repeat, no delay, no returning from the beginning
after play.

The advance slide in the animation tab:
Manually is checked, automatically is unchecked.

The weird thing is that it doesn't happen in all slides in a same
presentations. In some slides animation will stay, in other they will
disappear.

To set up an animation, I click on the corresponding button in the animation
tab, the click an object to select it, then use the right panel to create the
animation. I usually then right click on the animation title to set up its
parameters.

I deeply thank anyone would will be able to enlighten me on this matter, as
I've already spent quite some time struggling with this problem, which seems
to follow me as a curse even after changing machine, OS, and version of
powerpoint...

Thank you,

Alexis

The issues referred to in the quoted message pertain to Windows versions of
PowerPoint - specifically 2003 & 2007. I'm afraid there isn't anything most
of us can help with here since "save" issues typically involve the operating
system to some extent. This is the group for Mac PPt. but since you claim to
have the "same" problem you also must be using a Windows version. You can
get to the Win Office groups from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/FlyoutOverview.mspx

If you do happen to be using a Mac you should post a NEW message & be sure
to include all necessary info including:

Exact version & update level of Mac Office,
Exact version & update level of OS X,
As well as file format you're saving in, network or local drive, plus any
details specific to what you are experiencing.
