Animations in PowerPoint 2007 and Vista

Animations do not work properly. Color Typewriter is one example. Any
suggestions?

What do you mean by 'do not work properly'?

I would: update video card driver, update
printer driver (I know it sounds crazy but office 2007 is very dependant on
the local printer driver) and play with hardware graphics acceleration.

And try turning it on & off in PowerPoint
Slide Show -> Set Up Show -> untick 'Use hardware graphics acceleration'
