Animations in Powerpoint disturb tables

If I past in a table from Excel (paste special, Pictures Metafile) it appears
nicely in powerpoint (2007).

However, when I add animations to text below, the clear formating from the
text box is disturbed and the clarity disappears and text and numbers are
looking bad.

Does anyone know why this happens, and is there a work-around?
