Animations in Word 2002

When I insert an animated .gif into Word 2002 I can't see
the animation. What do I need to do to be able to see the
animated .gif in action?

Hi Stan,

Even in Word 2003 animated GIFs still only work
in Word if you save as a web page and view in your
browser or use File=>Web Page Preview.

You can convert a GIF to an AVI and run that in
a Word document, but it's not a particularly satisfactory
workaround.
