Bookends 8, bibliographic management software for Mac users, is now out.
Though I don't use it myself, I hear good things, and post this in the
interests of equity since I posted the EndNote announcement. Bookends of
course has a plug-in that works with Word 2004. One of the major features
added to version 8 is Unicode support.

There is a free demo version--which nicely, appears to be limited by size
rather than time, meaning I guess I'll stop faffing around because I never
feel like I want to spend the next month experimenting with bibliographies,
and finally install it.
