Annoying beeping sound

Everytime I open any application Word, Outlook, etc. and
say I type something in a field and than hit the back
space to the beginning as soon as I get to the beginning
of the field and hit the key one more time it beeps and
will continue. Also any time I open a word document and
don't even have to type anything and close it without
saving or saving it beeps when I hit the close button.

How do I turn off that beeping
sound.

How do I turn off that beeping
sound

Depends on the OS, but in general...
Start menu -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Sounds ... then Mute.
Either that or if you have a small speaker icon on the right of the task
bar, right click, open, and Mute from there.

Could be someone has been playing silly-buggers with your PC sound settings,
or a virus; is your virus checker up-to-date? and have you scanned recently?
