Annoying Excel behavior

G

Guy Kudlemyer

Hello:

Whenever I type a website into an Excel 2004 for Mac cell, it automatically
changes to a clickable link when I exit the cell. This is extreeeeeeeemely
annoying. I'm trying to build a list of websites, not a list of live links.

Is there a way to turn off this annoying "feature"?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Thanks, but I have absolutely no idea what to do with this info. I just want
to do something like click a check box in Preferences, or something similar.
I'm just a beginner-level user with no VBA expertise.

As I said, thank you anyway!

Hi Guy -

Type an apostrophe (') first followed by the addy - it won't show but the
rest of the typed content will... Just not as a hyperlink.
