Annoying - how to print table design

Hi all!

I'm using Access XP.

When viewing a table's design, there is no simple way to print it.
And if (in design mode) I select all fields and copy, I can't paste
it into Word, because the clipboard format isn't compatible or
something like that.

So.. how do I make a quick draft printout of a table's design?

Don't have XP, but in 2000 you can go to
Tools>Analyze>Documenter. Look at the options tab and
select only the info you want.

Bro...try this, open the table's design...press "print
screen" on your keyboard, open a blank powerpoint file and
then click paste. You can use the toolbar to adjust the
image before printing.

No need to buy anything. Simply use the Alt+PrtScn keys to copy the table
design, then paste it into paint.

I use the SnagIt screen capture utility (more expensive than PrintKey, but
many more features) together with Irfanview (freeware) to do most of the
screen shots and graphics for websites, helpfiles, and articles I write.

Thanks all!

I had already tried PrintScreen + paste into Word
AND I also did Tools - Analyze - Documenter.

I just thought that I might be missing something obvious,
because it seems a bit too much hazzle for just printing
a simple table design. But, by reading your replies, it
seems as if I was on the right track.

Arvin - I have SnagIt also. I use it extensively since a
month or so back... It's a very nice little tool!

But you have to print the whole screen that way. The accessory
programs make it a lot easier.

Which is why I use SnagIt.

You do not have to print the entire screen. You can capture the entire
screen, then paste it into something like MS-Paint. Then select just the
section you want and paste into a new image. Save and print that. If you're
only doing 20 or 30 tables, that works fine.

If you just want the data out of the table design, you can do a lot better
with some code like I use to extract it, create a table of it, and build a
report.
