Annoying Office 2000

Ok using w98se and office 2000. Out of the blue i ve got strange lines
that , 4 of them that appear all about my mouse curser as i move it about the
page. They can be to the right, at the bottom or to the left depending on
how the mouse curser moves, what are these lines all about and how do i turn
them off ! ?

Sounds like you might have the mouse set up to show trails or that you're using some form of high-visibility setting for the mouse.
