Annoying prompts in form

J

John H

I've created a fill in the blanks form. Initially I was able to fill in a
field and tab to the next field. Now when I hit "tab" a window comes up that
says Prompt?. I can select either the Cancel button or the OK button and go
to the next field but it's annoying. How do I turn this feature on and off.
What did I do to turn it on. Thanks for any help.

John,
Unprotect your form, hit Alt+F9 and see if there are any Fill-in fields in
your document, if so delete them. Hit ALt+f9 again and protect your form.
Now try again.

If you have any fill-in fields, replace them manually with form fields from
the Forms toolbar. What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online
form." Check this in help. For more about online forms, follow the links at

Chapman's series of articles. You may also want to look at

Hope this helps,
