annoying screen flicker during rollovers

Hello, does anyone know why some of the pages on my website would "flicker"
(it seems like the photos are refreshing quickly or something) when I drag
the mouse quickly over my navigation bar buttons (rollover?) I think it has
to do with the rollover effects I'm using, but it doesn't happen on every
page of my site, just some, so there must be a fix. Driving me crazy! Any
ideas? Thanks in advance, Mark

Post a URL of a page it happens on for us to look at
- suspect you may have 2 images w/ the same ID

Here is the URL: http://glassboxguy.com/index.htm
Scrolling over the navigation button at left quickly "flashes" the screen,
at least on my browser. I don't think I have duplicate IDs anywhere, but I'm
far from a pro at this. Thanks for the help, Mark

OK Thanks for the reply. Firstly, I'm dissapointed to hear that the hover
over produces a shange in text size. I just changed all the font sizes so
that it looked right on my browser (I had the same problem with the font size
changing on hover), but apparently that was the wrong move. Some I put at 8
pt and some at 12pt. I looked fine on my computer, but it must be obviously
stupid to think that would work. My question is, why did my browser show all
the text buttons jumping around in size if they were already correct? How do
I use non java buttons anyway? PS I definitely don't do this for a living :)

I did a little research and I see why no Java for Front Page. I have FP2000
which still supported it, I guess. My trouble is all navigation buttons are
part of a shared border that is dependent on the navigation stucture only and
I can't even edit the buttons jointly or individually at all. Can't even see
them in the html in frontpage. If I view source from browser, yes, but where
are they in fp? Mark

To see them you have to go to left.htm inside of the _borders folder.

The _borders folder is hidden, if you can't see it go to:
Tools | Site Settings | Options: Show Hidden files and folders and put a
check in that box.

Excluding the Java applet below the navigation, your left navigation uses the navigation view for the names of the links (View
Navigation to change them), and a FP rollover effect to change the font color/size on mouse over
1) rename all pages to remove spaces from file names
(spaces will cause broken links)
2) change your Rollover style to use the same font size / style as your links
(font size 1 - not 12 pt like you have it now)
