Annoying Word for Windows Warning

For the past month or so I've had this annoying message appear in Word for
Windows (the latest) every time I start the program or open up a new
document:

"This document could not be registered. It will not be possible to create
links from other documents to this document."

A very innocuous warning: all I have to do is select "ok" and move on; but
still, I'd like to get rid of it.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this warning. Nothing seems to work.

It seems your registry may be corrupt. This KB gives some suggestion for
something to try.
