Another infuriating bit of Word's irrationality is plaguing me. I had to
convert all my endnotes into footnotes on a chapter of my book (working in
OS 10.3.5), which means a lot of reformatting since the chapter is broken
into a number of sections. For example, p. 2 has to be landscape, but there
is a two-line footnote now on p. 1, which means that some of the text gets
bumped ahead. But, in doing that, Word has made my task much harder by
unnecessarily making p. 1 (including the footnote) two lines shorter than
before. Is there no way to put two lines of text back on p. 1? Even with the
note, it would be no longer than it had been before I converted the notes.
