Hey guys, I've read most of the InfoPath site on MS.com. But there is
something I dont get, why use InfoPath over creating web based Forms using
Visual Studio.Net? Is InfoPath attempting to provide a regular user or power
user a tool to create Forms with? Read: a tool that is not a full blown and
expensive developer tool.

TIA

yes, I had a high school intern work through the sample and create a usable
form in 8 hrs. Of course it was pretty simple and did not include any code,
but then, many forms do not. For replacing typical forms that were created
in Word or Excel, IP is great.

You can have a user create the basic form and then if you need additional
functionality have a programmer add some script or code without having to
spend any time on the UI.
