Another niggly Word habit...

Using MS Word XP

When I want to draw a line...or an arrow, from the Drawing toolbar, after I have hit the relevant button, I get a very large frame overlay my document with the words 'Create you drawing here' inside of it. I can get rid of this box by pressing the Esc key on the keyboard, but your view of the original document has shifted and you now have to scroll back up the document to get to the point where you wanted to make the original insertion....AND IT DRIVES ME MAAAAD. It never used to be there on earlier versions of Word.

Hi Mark,

Go to Tools/Options/General and turn off "Automatically create drawing
canvas..."
