Another Picture question for Outlook 2007

M

Mike R.

I finally got the emails to display an embedded picture but it still won't
display a linked picture.

Brand new HP laptop, Vista Home Premium, Outlook 2007 (12.0.6316.5000) SP1
MSO (12.0.6320.5000). Security Mode: Default.

Below are the codes for the standard email from HP and I get the same thing
from Dice.com. I've set the IE7 security settings to default, I'm on
automatic update for Windows and it seems to have downloaded all updates.
Been reading about this for several hours and nobody seems to have a solution.

HELP!!!
Thanks,
Mike

I couldn't find a "blocked content enabled for download" in the Junk Email
page. It has the Choose level of protection, then Permanently delete, Disable
Links, Warn me about suspicious domain names, and the Postmark button.

I have "Disable links and other functionality in phishing messages" checked.
I tried un-checking it, but that didn't let the messages display properly so
it was re-checked.

What am I missing??
Thanks,
Mike

Do you have blocked content enabled for download? tools, options, junk
email.

Ah, that makes sense!! :)

Yep, I had that unchecked too.
I'd like to keep Outlook running as it lets me keep contacts, etc., sync'd
with my iPhone, but it's not that important. If this is a standard operating
condition for Outlook, that linked pictures are not displayed, then I'll fire
up Windows Mail and delete Outlook. I remember that earlier versions of
Outlook did a fine job with emails, not so good now.

Thanks,
Mike

You are posting in a web interface to Usenet newsgroups - "bump" is a web
forum thing which will have no effect here on the vast majority of users who
access this through a news reader....
