ANOTHER RUBBISH FROM MICROSOFT -> MS PROJECT 2003 PRO

M

MacLukas

Hi,

Is there a way to hyperlink two different tasks in two different mpp
files?
It seems to be impossible so far. Such simple utility in many other
programs.
There is no dynamic scrolling, no dynamic zooming(only horizontal
stretching).
There is no selection synchronization between project window and gantt
chart only reverse.
Did you get the same american Rubbish MS PROJECT 2003 PRO for 700:- $
as we here at our company in Europe but even better without manual, no
ebook, no learning assistance? But why don't wait to another version
3003 or higher?

Regards
/M.

- What is a "hyperlink" between tasks?
- Please elaborate on what "dynamic scrolling" would be. (setting what
you want in the Timescale doesn't work?)
- Please elaborate on "selection synchronisation"? What exactly is that?
- Did you look in "Help" to see the articles "Project Map" and
"Tutorial". Regaring additional learning resouces, I would recommend
you see the list at
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm#Project_2003_Books_and_References.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Hi,

To link to a task in another project, create the hyperlink in usual way and
add #ID where ID is the row number of the task to link to.

As for your other requests you need to explain more. If you bought Project
professional with no intention of using Project Server, then you've wasted
some money, you should have bought Project Standard.

For VBA posts, please use the public.project.developer group.
For any version of Project use public.project
For any version of Project Server use public. project.server

Hi,
Thanks a lot! I got it working.
As for your other requests you need to explain more. If you bought Project
professional with no intention of using Project Server, then you've wasted
some money, you should have bought Project Standard.

OK! But what's the reason to sell MS Project PRO without MS Project Server
if PRO was created with intention of using server? It's like to buy a car
without engine. And you're right, to buy MS Project PRO is money wasting.

Best regards
/Mac
