Another user's mailbox is displayed improperly

R

Roshan Qureshi

Scenario: Two people: UserA and UserB. UserA has access to a few folders
in UserB's mailbox. UserA adds UserB's mailbox to his Folder List in
Outlook by modifying the properties of the "Microsoft Exchange Server"
service (Outlook 2K) or E-mail Account (Outlook 2003) and adding UserB's
mailbox on the "Advanced" tab.

UserB's mailbox then appears on UserA's Folder List in Outlook. So far, so
good. Here's the strange part: UserA has many mailboxes (from all Exchange
servers in the organization, including the one holding UserB's mailbox) in
his Outlook Folder List, and all of them except UserB's display in the
format "Mailbox - Firstname Lastname". Only UserB's mailbox displays in the
format "Firstname Lastname".

This phenomen happens for all users who have access to UserB's mailbox & add
it to their Folder List. I have tried creating new mail profiles and new
user profiles for multiple users, but still this one mailbox appears in a
non-standard format. All other behavior of the mailbox is normal, i.e.,
users can access the folders to which they have permission.

This is a minor issue, but obviously is bugging me. What is unique about
UserB's mailbox that makes it appear this way in another user's Folder List?

TIA,
roshan
