Hi Phil,

The GDI+ graphics engine that Word uses doesn't support
turning off Antialiasing (smoothing) directly).

You can select a line drawn in Word then Ctrl+X
followed by Edit=>Paste=>Special as GIF (graphic format)
and depending on the line length, weight and angle you
may get a 'jaggy' look. Being a bitmap format if you start
with a small pasted line and then 'resize' it you'll get
more 'jags'.

Thanks Bob

I need to have a vector object, i am drawing a large 'freeform' closed shape
with many straight edges (made straight after the fact using the 'edit
points' function) - it is v. difficult to 'straighten' the edges if they go
all fuzzy because Word thinks the line is on a sub-pixel boundary.
(the shape represents teh walls of a house as one continuous line)

is there anyway to indirectly turn off the anti-aliassing ?

thanks

Phil.
