Anticipating and resolving conflict

In a sheet shared by 6 users, they will often be adding a new entry at
the same time. Is there a way of automatically saving the shared sheet
- and thus reserving the new row - whenever a new entry is made in any
cell of the next available new line, rather than resolving conflict
later?
