Antiquated, Antiquated Software

I cannot find my antiquated Mac Office install disks (I can find the OS X
install disk just fine), and now I find I have to reinstall an *old* version on an
*old* iMac with only 128 MB of RAM.

What are my options?

Hey. My computer came with less than 128 MB of RAM, and it's not
antiquated. Merely obsolete. Anyhow, it's not really clear what your
situation is. If you need to reinstall the program and you can't find the
disks, you can try
1) turning the house upside down on the assumption you wouldn't have
*trashed* them
2) asking MS if they still do media replacement for it
3) buying the program again or borrowing the disks from somebody to install
with your serial number
4) *maybe* copying the program and supporting files from a computer with
that version installed--this worked better with antiquated programs, I
believe

If you said what version Office and OS you were talking about, you might get
better advice. Office 98 and 2001 for OS 9 are still for sale, I think, new
and used.

Last someone reported, they wouldn't replace an Office X cd, but maybe they
just didn't make extra copies of that version.
